Is membership required?

Yes. Requisite membership is key to sustaining the economic viability of the Club and Community. New homeowners will choose from either a Club or a Golf membership. We are NOT an age restricted community!

Is there an entry fee?

Ye, your entry fee is a one-time fee, paid in full at closing.

What is included in a Membership?

All memberships include unlimited access to:

  • Clubhouse
  • All dining and special events (additional fees may apply for special events)
  • Wellness Center
  • Pool
  • Tennis Courts

What is included in the annual dues and fees?

  • Reserve fees
  • House charge (all food and beverage gratuities)
  • Frequent Dining Rewards Program

Do you have a waiting list for Golf Membership?

Yes. If you purchase a home from a seller resigning a Club Membership, you will need to go on the waiting list for a Golf Membership. If you purchase a home from a seller resigning a Golf Membership, however, you will have first right of refusal for a Golf Membership. Please contact the Membership Office for additional details regarding Golf Membership availability.

Are there other required fees besides a Golf or Club Membership Entry Fee?

Yes. There are Annual Dues based on which type of Membership is chosen, as well as Master Association Dues (HOA) and Neighborhood Association Dues. (if applicable) We do not charge CDD fees.

Is there a minimum spending requirement in the dining room?

No. VGCC does not require a dining room minimum. Instead, members are rewarded based on how much they spend on food and beverage (including alcohol) in the dining room throughout the year. 25% of the previous years' total food and beverage amount is credited to your member account each January.

May I rent my home?

Yes. Members may lease their homes twice in a 12-month period. A minimum 30-day rental required. Forms and processing fees are required by both the Master Association and the Membership Office.

Do you offer non-resident memberships?

We are not currently offering non-resident memberships.

Can I play the course to "try it out" prior to purchasing a home?

Be sure to check out our virtual course tour, which shows drone flyover shots of each hole.

We are happy to arrange play for serious buyers after an initial meeting and tour with someone from our Membership Office. Please call the club at 941-492-9600 to arrange a tour of the Clubhouse and amenities. Once you've met with the Membership Office, and if you are actively working with a realtor to find a home here, we will arrange for you to play the course with one of our member ambassadors (green and cart fees apply).

Master Association (HOA) Questions

Can I put in a pool or change my lanai?

Yes, you may add a pool or change your lanai. Prior Master ARC approval and Neighborhood Board approval, if applicable, is required before any exterior modifications can be done.

Am I allowed to park in the driveway?

No more than one (1) permitted vehicle may be parked in the driveway on a regular basis, which is defined as 72 hours within a seven-day period. Prohibited vehicles, including but not limited to pickup trucks, commercial vehicles and recreational vehicles, are to be stored in the garage at all times.

Do you offer storage for boats or RVs?

Yes, there is storage for boats and RVs at the Rich Street office for residents only at a low annual fee. There is only limited space, and it is first-come, first-served. You may contact the Master Association office for details on pricing on availability.  

Are motorcycles allowed?

The use of motorcycles, motorbikes and mopeds anywhere on property is prohibited.

Are pets allowed?

Yes. No more than three cats, dogs, or other common household pets are permitted per home.
