Golf Programs

We take pride in offering support for organized competitive tournaments for men and women, teams and couples. The MGA and WGA, in conjunction with the exceptional professional Golf staff, continually strive to offer new competitive and social events for the continued interest and playing pleasure of our members.

 

MGA

The Men's Golf Association plays 18 holes on Wednesday and Saturday. There are two separate events on each play day, played from different sets of tees. The tees played are orange (6,035 yards) and gold (5,404 yards). A wide variety of formats are played using 4-man teams, 2-man teams and individual events. The MGA also offers seven major events throughout the main six month season.

WGA

The Women's 18-Hole Golf Association plays on Tuesdays. The women play from either the green tees (5,094 yards) or the silver tees (4,394 yards). The WGA offers a variety of formats using 4-women teams, 2-women teams and individual events. There are also four major events that occur throughout the main six month season. 

The Women's 9-Hole Golf Association plays on Monday morning. This is a very casual group of women golfers who are new to the game, have only been playing a short time or just want to enjoy nine holes of golf. The WGA 9-Holers offers a variety of formats using 4-women teams, 2-women teams and individual events.

Couples Golf

The Venice Golf and Country Club boasts an active couples' golf schedule. Play takes place on Sunday afternoons with dinner to follow.

Events consist of a wide variety of formats, including 18-hole Mixed Couples and 18-hole Make-Your-Own Pairing. There are several designated couples' events throughout the season in which you are able to bring guests to compete in the tournament.
